Today we're having that wonderful party again in Holland. For this year's celebration I had the honour of being asked to write a story about it on the Etsy Blog in 'The Storque':

If you want to know more about how I will pass the day check my previous posts on the subject. I sure hope to come home with a lot of great finds tonight!
ADDITION (2.15 pm): I'm sorry to report that just before noon local time here a bizarre car crash near the bus of the royal family happened. At this moment all festivities are being slowed down and will be cancelled altogether during the afternoon...

I'm sorry to hear that. What a disappointment.
I enjoy your blog, but found no place to sign up to "Follow" (on the right)....maybe it was my computer acting up.
I'll check back later.
As you know I am no real suporter of the royal family.
Since we don't live in the time of the french revolution though I hope we can achieve this without bloodshet.
Hey Doris, you have to scroll down almost to the bottom of the side bar to find the follow-link.
Mick, I'm no fan either, but not against them too. As you know the 1980 riots both intrigued and disturbed me. That almost seems kid's play now. With today's crowd in The Hague I see no capable president stand up yet. If it happens in my lifetime I'd vote for Willem Alexander :) Until then I will enjoy my holiday in orange.
I would never vote for fatso. Even his own wife called hem "Een beetje dom"(a little stupid) to apologize for his political blunders.
